About Stefanie K. Meisel – Partner
Born in Monterey, California and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stefanie graduated from the University of Michigan in 1991, with a BA in English Literature. Stefanie graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998. After graduation from the University of Michigan Law School, Stefanie worked as an Associate at large law firms (Honigman and Butzel Long).
From 2002-2016, Stefanie worked for the Washtenaw County Friend of the Court (FOC) as a Referee, where she heard (and settled) countless cases ranging from in pro per child support objections to complex, high-asset divorce cases. Stefanie has extensive training in Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Stefanie retired from the FOC in 2016 and joined Basil Baker as a Partner to create Baker & Meisel, LLP. Stefanie continues to use her established skill in consensus-building to create her Mediation/ADR, Family Law, and Estate Planning practice.
Stefanie lives in the country with her husband, Keith. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, kayaking, metalsmithing, and fiber arts.
